SHARE WITH ME AS I AM CELEBRATING MY YOUNGEST DAUGHTER, SUSAN, ON "LINDA'S PAGE."
I am excited to find out today that Susie will be in Denver at the same time that we will be there. I have a niece, my brother's daughter, Jennifer, and her sons, my two "great" nephews (I am really not that old), and my daughter and her friend, Tara, to visit while we are there. Susie will get to see our new motorhome before July, when we will go to Houston to visit my family. After Houston, we will be heading up toward Tennessee, Bristol, to be exact, to visit Sam's Mom and Dad. Of course, we will "catch" the National in Washington, D.C. while we are up in that direction. I have never been to our nation's capitol. JoAnn Zapatka was telling me that we need to go see the "Spy Museum" while we are there and that is our plan.

It had to have been quite a feat to do so well in the either cold hurricane force winds or conversely, sweltering heat, the conditions to which one had to adapt in the tent this year. I have never noticed it being this bad. Last year, the air-conditioner to the tent went out and ice and washrags were provided to help us stay cool.
But this year, the air-conditioner worked and nearly blew you out of the tent with the "windy" cold air, or when it was not on, there was no ventilation and just too hot. The chandeliers did not provide enough light and there was a glare on some of the tables. The doors stayed closed so there was no natural light coming in. I personally felt miserable in the tent on Sunday. Contributing to this awful day was ... oh well, nevermind ... whine, whine, whine!

Very sadly, the ACE OF CLUBS IS CLOSED until further notice, EFFECTIVE TUESDAY, FEB. 24, AFTER THE 10:30 GAME. We will let you know when we find the right place for the new club. Wish us luck in finding it.

We, in this location, have many unforgettably happy memories and rejoiced in your many successes! We taught some of you here. You were treated with respect at all levels here because, from the heart...we respect you.
